    Occasional discounts on conferences and workshops. Please contact your GARPA representatives and the conference organizers to see whether a particular conference has been discounted
    Occasionally, a conference, exhibition or workshop has a limited number of free registrations to GARPA members. Usually this must be applied for through the GARPA secretariat, but is not restricted to GARPA representatives and often comes on a first-come, first-serve basis. Events that have provided free registrations in the past include Rapid Product Development in Malaysia (1 free registration)
    and Product Development Excellence Week in China (2 free registrations)

    Special GARPA sessions. Many conferences hold special sessions for GARPA members to report on RP activity in their country
    Special GARPA networking sessions. Many conferences hold lunches or cocktail receptions for GARPA members to meet
    Conference endorsement by GARPA. GARPA will list your conference on the events page and the conference will provide a link to GARPA with the GARPA logo

    GARPA provides a selection of cases produced by its members for free viewing on this website
    New members can present activities in their country and organization in the form of case studies

  • Guidance for new members
  • New members can find contacts from existing members, who can provide advice on how to set up a new RP Association
    Often, new members may like to establish themselves by running a workshop or conference. Existing members may be willing to attend such events to provide keynotes
    New members may like to use the contact details for existing members should they be considering traveling to another member country
    The GARPA secretariat and advisors (Terry Wohlers and Ian Gibson) can provide insight and are a good first contact regarding GARPA members and activities

  • Case study competition: in order to encourage members to submit new case studies, GARPA periodically judges the best case study and provides a prize
    Logo competition: The GARPA logo was created as a result of a competition. The winner was Henry Magalhaes Macario from Brazil.

  • GARPA Summit meetings
    Approximately every year, GARPA chairmanship changes to a new association. GARPA chairs have included UK, US, Portugal, South Africa, China, Finland. Please contact the secretariat if you would like to consider chairing GARPA in the future. A requirement for chairmanship is to hold a GARPA summit meeting. This can coincide with a conference but must include a significant number of GARPA representatives. The summit meeting is something like an AGM to discuss achievements and future directions for GARPA
