How do I start an association?

  • As a starting point, determine whether an association already exists in your country. Through our contacts, we may know of active people in your region. If there is no organization, then we may be able to help find others that may be interested in teaming with you. Every country has different methods and rules about registering associations, so take this into consideration. We can put you in touch with similar associations in other countries that may be able to give you advice on their approach and best practices
What countries have associations?
  • There are now quite a number. Nearly all of those with well-established associations are members of GARPA. Most of the small groups and associations are aware of GARPA and are making enquiries or preparations to becoming a member.

What are the benefits in joining GARPA?

  • GARPA provides many benefits that are listed in these pages. One of the most important benefits is linking with many experts around the world.

What are the costs of GARPA membership?

  • Currently, there is no monetary fee to becoming a GARPA member. As the number of services increases, we may add a small fee, but only if necessary. We rely greatly on the enthusiasm and efforts of our members to satisfy the needs of GARPA.
